InCroX® high-chromium alloy — the material for next-generation burners!
InCroX® is the material of the future for PellasX Burners, based on a group of high-chromium alloys with heat-resistant and creep-resistant properties intended for castings.

InCroX® is an alloy with a chromium content ranging from 24% to 32%, which — in combination with carbon and silicon — provides exceptional corrosion resistance, including high-temperature corrosion.
A burner combustion chamber made of InCroX® withstands high-temperature loads much longer than heat-resistant steel, primarily because it is cast in a mould.
Heat-resistant steel 1.4841 has an average chromium content of 25% and a nickel content of 20%. Its corrosion resistance is provided primarily by chromium.
The InCroX® high-chromium alloy has a chromium content of 25%, while the nickel content is only 4–5%, silicon 1.5%, and manganese and molybdenum 1% (molybdenum increases resistance to pitting corrosion, while nickel improves its ductility).

Processing of heat-resistant steel — i.e. welding and bending — alters its structure and thus creates points susceptible to corrosion. A body casting made of InCroX®, a high-chromium heat-resistant and creep-resistant alloy, undergoes no additional plastic working or welding, which contributes to its resistance to thermal overload and, consequently, to its service life.
The photographs below were taken after a four-hour cycle of alternating annealing of combustion chambers at 1100 °C and cooling.
